Wildroam is a product of Slate Wing Labs LLC, Colorado, USA.

Who we are

“We”, “us”, and “our” mean Slate Wing Labs LLC, a Colorado limited liability company that owns and operates the Wildroam product. Wildroam is a product name, not a separate company. These Terms govern your use of the Wildroam website, app experience, and related services (the “service”).

Agreement

By accessing Wildroam you agree to these Terms with Slate Wing Labs LLC. Creating an account also requires acceptance of the Field disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Wildroam provides an interactive map of camping and related places, user accounts, and community contributions (reports, stays, photos, new places). The service is offered as-is during public beta / soft launch and may change without notice.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information
You are responsible for activity under your account
Keep your password confidential
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service
Signup requires that you read and accept the field disclaimer

User content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Slate Wing Labs LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of the Wildroam product.

You agree not to post content that is:

Illegal, harassing, or hateful
Spam, malware, or deceptive
Infringing on others' rights (including photos you don't own)
Private personal data of others without consent

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.

Field disclaimer

Wildroam is a product of Slate Wing Labs LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. Neither Slate Wing Labs LLC nor Wildroam has personally inspected or approved campsites, pull-outs, trailheads, or other places shown on the map. Listings may come from user uploads, public datasets, or community reports. Information can be incomplete, inaccurate, relocated, closed, or unsafe.

You are solely responsible for following all local laws, regulations, and customs of the place you visit or stay — including rules from land managers and park authorities (for example BLM, USFS, NPS, and state or local managers in the United States; national parks, provincial parks, municipalities, and private landowners elsewhere), private-property boundaries, permits, fees, stay limits, and fire restrictions.

Before traveling or camping, verify access and conditions with relevant authorities and through your own research. You must satisfy yourself that a place is legal, campable, reachable with your vehicle, and safe for your party.

Without limiting the foregoing, Slate Wing Labs LLC does not warrant or accept responsibility for flood risk, fire danger or bans, weather, road or trail condition, navigation accuracy, water quality, sanitation, wildlife, crime, or any other hazard at or en route to a listed place.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slate Wing Labs LLC and its members, officers, agents, and contractors disclaim all liability and provide no indemnity for any claim, damage, loss, injury, death, or property damage (including vehicles, rigs, gear, and personal property) arising out of or related to use of the Wildroam product, reliance on map data or user content, or any visit to a place shown or described on Wildroam. Outdoor recreation involves inherent risk; you assume that risk.

Safety & accuracy

Map data, official facility info, and community reports may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Always verify access, fees, fire restrictions, road conditions, and land rules before you travel. Wildroam is not a substitute for official agency guidance or your own judgment in the field. See also the Field disclaimer above.

Acceptable use

No scraping or bulk harvesting beyond normal use
No attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or auth
Paid Pro billing, cancel, and refunds are described in plain English on the Billing & refunds page
No automated spam signups or fake reports
No interference with other users' enjoyment of the service

Intellectual property

Wildroam branding, software, and original non-user content are owned by Slate Wing Labs LLC or its licensors. Map basemap data remains subject to OpenStreetMap and tile provider terms. Official facility data may originate from public sources (e.g. recreation.gov / RIDB) and is subject to their terms.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Places on the map are not inspected or certified by Slate Wing Labs LLC or the Wildroam product.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slate Wing Labs LLC and its members, officers, agents, and contractors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, property, or travel-related harm — including personal injury, death, or loss of or damage to vehicles and gear — arising from use of the Wildroam product or any place listed on it. Outdoor recreation involves inherent risk; you assume that risk.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes lies in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, except where prohibited by law.

Promotions

From time to time we may offer invite codes or free Pro periods. Terms of any promotion (duration, eligibility, caps) may change; we may refuse or reverse rewards obtained through abuse or fraud.

Termination

You may stop using Wildroam at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service and community.

Changes

We may update these Terms and the field disclaimer version. Material changes to the field disclaimer may require re-acceptance on next signup or login. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where allowed by law.
